Swedish designers Gabriella Gustafson and Mattias Ståhlbom of TAF Architects specified the suspension cord be color-matched to the hand-painted shade to play up the contrast between linear and rounded shapes. In press-spun aluminum, the shade’s interior is painted a soft white for a tonal contrast to the Nordic palette—and to provide maxim illumination. Danish maker Muuto once again brings its hallmark “new perspective” to light.
