That Catch Chair, Jaime Havon’s first contribution to &Tradition was a bonafide hit, among its honors taking Best of the Year award from Interior Design magazine. The follow up-is the Catch Chair JH2, an option with a swivel base. With the original seating shape that has been likened to an open embrace, the new swivel base enhances the chair’s light and playful expression while upping the versatility, especially for use at a desk or table. The serpentine swivel base is cast aluminum and the shell is made from molded polyurethane foam with fiber reinforcements, covered in cold-cured foam and available in a range of textile and leather upholstery choices.Jaime is a rock star in the modern design arena, having collaborated with Bosa Ceramiche, Camper, Lladro and a host of interior and architectural work around the world. He brings a signature whimsy to his work, yet always considering that design is also about living with the stuff. What we love most about Jaime is his design ethos: it’s about creating happiness.
