The Zen notion of Kanso views simplicity as the heart of enlightened living, a concept embraced by Laura Bilde in her linear side table with removable wood trays. The Danish designer pairs a steel frame in powder-coated black or fig purple with black-stained ash trays to position as desired. The table’s sculptural form is as functional as it is eye-catching and the trays can be used on their own for serving at mealtime or to spotlight a floral arrangement or objet.
