With a Pop Art appeal, Neotenic flaunts its bulging round form with a base amusingly shaped like corkscrew pasta in Paris-based Petite Friture’s first collaboration with Brooklyn NY design studio Jumbo. Fashioned by ceramists in Portugal, the stand’s curvature requires a meticulous manual molding and finishing process. Powered by an integrated LED inside the glass globe shade, the warm quality of the light is pleasant, even and accomodatingly powerful.
