Visionary designer and architect Mogens Lassen’s 1955 Saxe is a striking collapsible lounge chair with a solid-oak frame and a dramatic leather slung seat. Originally designed for a Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild contest, nothing in the chair’s DNA is left to chance, even to the typically iconoclastic Lassen twist of discreet brass fittings at the seat’s back.
