Vienna design studio EOOS puts a softer slant on its Embrace Armchair series in this version with a dark blue edging strip. Like its siblings, the border delineates the enfolding cushion that functions as the dining chair seat, back and armrests in one as E005’s upholstered form appears to float inside the solid oak or walnut structure. In a display of exceptional craftsmanship, the back piece particularly deserves notice—its 3 finger-jointed pieces assembled in classic geometric symmetry.
