Grossman considered her stellar 1949 seating, she said it was “developed out of our own preferences for living in a modern way.” So she named it Modern Line, with its low back and boxy expanded proportions. Her timeless lounge chair has a sleek, unencumbered presence while the elegant slender legs keep it aloft and looking weightless.
