For their updated take on a grand dining table, designers Anya Sebton and Eva Lilja Löwenhielm were inspired by a onetime exhibition of columns at Paris’ Palais Royale. With “the elegance and luxury from past tense,“ says Anya, “we have chosen to play with a semi-circular profile that creates a beautiful relief together with a pure Scandinavian expression.” The table’s weighted columnar base is fashioned with solid-oak panels while the tabletop has a corresponding solid-oak edge in the same color. Surface options include polyurethane-finished stained oak or several choices of a high-performance matte nano-laminate. Crafted in Sweden for innovative Stockholm-based maker Asplund.
