The addition of armrests lends ease while a rolling 5-star base adds mobility to Massproductions’ squared-up take on the modernist shell chair. Designer Chris Martin employs layered, glued oak or beech for the molded seating, with a curved solid piece that tops the backrest and defines the chair’s shape, suggested by a serif topping a letterform. With frame choices in chrome and a range of colorways, the seating comes in a choice of woodgrain or solid lacquer treatments.
