First seen in 1944, Hans J. Wegner’s iconic rocking chair became an iconic design object almost from the start, still cherished around the world. J16 was conceived with comfortable ergonomics playing a primary role as well as freedom of movement in the precise engineering of the elements that contribute to the graceful rocking movement. The natural paper-cord seat adds support while creating a subtle contrast in texture to the signature look of the smooth structure in solid oak or walnut.
