“It’s discreet but has a personality at the same time,” says young Swiss designer Dimitri Bähler of his linear floor lamp. Cho Light begins with a startlingly thin carbon-fiber rod made possible by cutting-edge manufacturing techniques. Then Dimitri employs Japanese Washi paper for the luminous orb, in an arresting juxtaposition of technology and tradition.
