When lingering awhile at the table, the Covent Dining Chair from Danish design house New Works redefines comfort. Copenhagen designer Rene Hougaard posits an embracing rounded armchair on a thinly wrought metal framework with Mondrian-like geometry. This seemingly floating cocoon, upholstered in fine textiles or soft leather, melds traditional craftsmanship with a memorably modernist spirit.
