Celebrating its durability—not to mention radical spirit—after almost a century, Santa & Cole reissues GATCPAC’s polished aluminum floor lamp. The familiar dome shade can be directed upwards for indirect light or tilted to cast a more direct beam. Created by Torres Clavé (founding member of Group of Catalan Architects and Technicians for the Progress of Contemporary Architecture) and his contemporaries, the lamp started out as a gift in the buildings they erected; a sort of signature of the ’30s avant-garde collective.
